Art for Critters artist, Melody Lea Lamb, had begun another illustration project for a new book written by Jana Laiz. The Cat's Meow is a children's book filled with baby animals all coming together to help a very young person welcome their new baby sister or brother. Jana has written several other books such as the award nominated Weeping Under This Same Moon and Elephants of the Tsunami.

Art for Critters artist, Ann Ranlett, was accepted along with 172 equine artists to participate in the Mural Mosaic project, Le Cadeau du Cheval (The Horse Gift). The Cadeau mural is composed of 238 individual 16" x 16" panels. The overall mural is 18' x 22' and the complete mural was unveiled at Spruce Meadows in Alberta, Canada on September 3rd. The January issues of Horse Illustrated also wrote a one page article on the project.
