Debbie Klenzman

Deborah Ann Klenzman was drawing, painting, and photographing animals when she was just 7 years old. Growing up on a farm in the rural midwest, she had many furry & feathery subjects. Her career started in 1986 as a commercial artist and photographer. Debbie has a bachelors degree in advertising with a minor in art.

Owner of Progressive Portraits, she now photographs and paints in oil people and their pets. Animal rescue is a subject that dearly matters to her. Volunteering for the SPCA, she learned valuable pet behavior and training techniques that have been helpful in her artwork. All three of her kitties were rescued from the wild. Often she donates her work to local animal rescue charities.
